The brief for this challenging project was to create a large suspended level deck and incorporate a substantial outdoor kitchen.
One issue faced was the need to raise the whole deck onto a number of precisely level concrete piers to allow periodic flooding beneath from the adjoining lake.
The brick and stonework had to be very carefully constructed to ensure the component parts of the design fitted properly. The comprehensive kitchen was finished with a dramatic Portland stone work surface to the client’s design.
A substantial oak and stone porch was built to enhance the front elevation of the main house.
